No one can obviously guarantee the success of any surgery. There are just too many variables. However, Dr. Daniel will give everyone his undivided attention to make your chances of achieving your goals as high as possible.

One thing we feel is very important is that we only perform one surgery each day. There is no rushing to get to the next procedure or meet other clinic obligations. This is just too important. A clinic that is trying to get you to come with advertised low fees but high volume is not working in your best interest.

Using only the best first quality suture is critical. Out of date, re-sterilized, and inferior quality suture can become brittle and fall apart. Suture is very expensive, but is also very critical. We use only the finest suture and other supplies available. Dr. Daniel treats everyone as if they were family. There are no cutting corners to save money or crank out as many surgeries as possible.

The quality of the surgical microscope is also critical. You cannot accurately repair what you cannot accurately see. Dental microscopes are inexpensive but frequently used. The optics just are not acceptable. Many use surgical loops on their glasses. These do not offer any where near enough magnification to perform this procedure. We use the finest Zeiss Surgical Microscope available. It is the one thing no one should compromise on but most do.

Most hospitals and surgery centers utilize halogen lighting. It is what you are used to seeing on TV. We use only LED Surgical lighting.

The reasons are several:

  • LED lighting is brighter than halogen. Looking through a microscope requires much more light than it does to perform open surgeries. The added intensity is critical.

  • LED lighting does not generate heat. Halogen lighting does; so much so that it is necessary to have an assistant to drip saline on the vas during the surgery to keep it from literally burning up from the heat. It also requires a very cold room so that you can tolerate the heat. This usually means you will require a general anesthetic to make you comfortable, but this compromises this type of surgery.

  • LED lighting is more reliable. Halogen bulbs have a short lifespan. However, when the bulbs blow, you cannot easily replace the bulbs during the surgery.
